The speakers RHS chooses are experts in their field, exploring topics of interest to our members. Coffee and snacks are always served as well as door prizes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Education Sessions 2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

May 5 and 7 An Evening at the Greenhouse Series:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

An Evening at Sherwood Greenhouse Garden Centre Tuesday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m<\/strong>. Talk will feature transplanting seedling into pots or the garden. 17350 Range Rd 2190, Regina (East of the city, just north of Vic Ave\/Highway 1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 An Evening at Plant Ranch Thursday, May 7 at 7:00 p.m.<\/strong> Talk will feature planting for balconies and containers. 5909 13th Ave, Regina (We are located WEST of Lewvan & 13th Avenue, past the baseball fields and BMX bike track).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RHS members and the public will have the opportunity to hear from these experts, ask questions, tour the greenhouses, enjoy light refreshments, and have an opportunity to do some shopping. We will be giving away two hanging baskets as door prizes each evening. The Greenhouses will be opening for the Regina Horticulture Society May 5 and 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RHS educational presentations and workshops are held at St Paul’s Cathedral, 1861 McIntyre St, Regina unless otherwise posted. All of our regular education events are included with membership, tickets are sold to non-members at the door admission is $5.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thurs., March 26<\/strong> Mindful Regenerative Gardening – Above and Below Ground (Elphinstone Senior\u2019s Centre) Bluesette Campbell<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bluesette Campbell<\/strong> was raised by a single mom and grew up on a sheep ranch in south central Montana with her sister where she began her gardening journey out of necessity. In 2009, she parked the tiller for the last time. Over the next 17 years, her holistic, regenerative, no-till gardening journey blossomed.  Mirroring the land stewardship principles of their cattle ranch, Bluesette\u2019s garden transformed through development of healthy ecosystem processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

February 25<\/strong> Cutting Gardens Floral Arrangements Lesley at Lark Farm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Come Listen to Lesley, of Lark Farm <\/strong>enlighten us with her knowledge of and experience growing Floral Cutting Gardens. It will be a blooming good evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will learn how Leslie grows a wide variety of flowers, both old-time favorites and unique varieties in their fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lark farms use natural farming practices to build healthy soil and to support biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ingrid Thiessen is a retired landscape architect with an interest in native plants. She is a long-time member of the Regina Horticulture Society, Nature Regina, and the Native Plant Society of Saskatchewan. Ingrid\u2019s photo presentation will provide design methods to consider when using native plants in your yard from container plants to acreage considerations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating a Unique Christmas Table Decoration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philip Rispen, of Sherwood Greenhouse and Garden Centre led a Christmas Decor Workshop Nov 27 for our members. Everyone really enjoyed the experience and went home with a lovely center piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
